Discover Hawai‘i’s Must-Visit Beaches

When your clients dream of Hawai‘i, they imagine pristine beaches, turquoise waters and unforgettable experiences. Help them turn that dream into reality with these must-visit beaches, each offering something special for every traveler.

Kaua‘i
Po‘ipū Beach Park is a sun-drenched paradise on the island’s south shore. Its natural swimming cove is perfect for families, with calm waters for kids and vibrant marine life for snorkelers. Hawaiian monk seals often lounge on the sand, adding to the magic. When conditions are right, it’s also a hotspot for surfing and bodyboarding—great for active travelers looking for adventure. Clients must admire any wildlife from a safe distance.

O‘ahu
Waikīkī Beach is a timeless Hawai‘i playground, where golden sand meets iconic views of Lē‘ahi (Diamond Head), perfect for the family, romance or outdoor traveler. Clients can learn to surf, paddle an outrigger canoe or relax by the shore. Adventurers will appreciate Waimea Bay Beach Park on the North Shore. In the winter, towering waves draw elite surfers and world-class surf competitions, while summer’s calm waters invite swimmers and snorkelers to explore the bay’s vibrant underwater world. Encourage clients to visit beaches with lifeguards and adhere to lifeguard signs.

Maui
For clients craving dramatic scenery, Waiʻānapanapa State Park’s black sand beach along the Hāna Highway is a jaw-dropping sight. Sea caves, blowholes and hiking trails make this a haven for explorers. Meanwhile, Kā‘anapali Beach, once a retreat for Hawaiian royalty, offers three miles of powdery white sand and crystal-clear waters. Clients can witness the nightly cliff-diving ceremony at Pu‘u Keka‘a for a truly memorable sunset experience.

Hawai‘i Island

Hāpuna Beach State Recreation Area is one of the island’s largest white sand beaches, ideal for sunbathing, bodyboarding and snorkeling in the island’s signature clear waters. Families will love ʻŌhaiʻula Beach Park (Spencer Beach Park), where a reef keeps the waters calm and perfect for young swimmers. Its proximity to Puʻukoholā Heiau National Historic Site adds a cultural touch to any itinerary.
